Celebrating Achievement
Achievements at Martin Bacon Academy
We believe in recognising that every child is different. In our academy, we aim to know, acknowledge and recognise every one. Our aim is to make every child feel valued and really appreciated for their efforts.
We do this by saying it, in lessons and around the school, acknowledging them by name and genuinely appreciating their contributions, or by calling home and telling parents how well their child has done. We write it in emails to parents and in daily correspondence such as the evidence for learning, telling them when pupils have made progress and achieved brilliant things. We publish achievements weekly in the newsletter and in assemblies. We celebrate, academic, sporting and personal achievements.
We want pupils to always give their best and to live our school values of ‘Kindness, Curiosity and Hard work’ because we believe these will deliver successful pupils who are well prepared for adulthood. Our aim is to try and capture something positive and wonderful for every child, every week.
Please see our wonderful newsletters here for our regular updates on the achievements being made in the academy.
